2019: Ndako Receives Landmark Endorsement from Eggan Community

In the build-up to the 2019 elections, the Eggan community in Lokoja local government area of Kogi State yesterday endorsed  the lawmaker representing Lokoja Two Constituency, Hon. Idris Ndako’s  candidacy for a second term in the state House of Assembly.
The landmark endorsement which was unanimous came during a critical town hall meeting between the lawmaker and the Eggan community who also form part of his constituents at the Lokoja residence of Muhammed Yabagi Aliyu.
Hon. Ndako, who will be flying the flag of the APC in the 2019 House of Assembly election used the occasion to solidify his assurance to the Eggan community that his second tenure would be marked with the promotion of policies that sought to advance the cause of social inclusion amongst adherents of all tribes and religions in Lokoja two Constituency.
Speaker after speaker during the event promised to mobilize the electorates towards the realization of a successful outing for Ndako in all the polling units.
In fulfillment of his promise to renovate the Eggan Central Mosque, Ndako, at the town hall meeting, presented a cheque of one million Naira to leaders of the community for the execution of the project.
According to him, the renovation of the Central Mosque bid came on the heels of the request of the people of the sleepy community who have been striving in renovating the house of God for years.
“As lawmakers, it is incumbent on us to give adequate representation to our constituents. We should be able to identify their needs and ensure we contribute our own quota to the development of our constituencies.
“We are going to break the jinx of years of not having a befitting Central Mosque in Eggan town”, Ndako said.
In his remarks, one of the community leaders, Muhammed Yabagi Aliyu, expressed delight at the pace Ndako is fulfilling the promise made to the people of Eggan ward.
Aliyu, is particularly trilled by the gesture, noting that it is noteworthy that the renovation project is the lawmaker’s contribution towards the growth of Islam in Eggan.
“For so long we have been waiting for this to happen. Allah will surely reward you for your good deed,” Aliyu said.
The leader called on well-to-do individuals in the state to emulate the lawmaker in embarking on legacy projects that outlive them, adding that that was the only way our world can be better place for all.
Responding, Ndako said; “I am happy that you have endorsed me for a second term. Be rest assured that  I will continue to work hard to justify your trust.”
He charged the leaders and people of Eggan ward to continue their peaceful mobilization for his re-election, noting that their efforts would promote the interest of the electorates.
Prominent leaders in attendance include, the  ward APC acting chairman, Shaibu Ibrahim, Woman leader, Hajiya Fatima Abdullahi, Muhammed Alfa and Hon. Alhassan Kinemi.
Others are, Hajiya Fatima Kabir Buba, Abubakar Usman, Yabagi Galadima and a host of youths and women.
